Petra and Steffen had a daughter Ingeborg who married Einar P. Hoen who's mother was Jim's grandfather Jens' sweetheart before leaving Norway in 1905!  You have to read that a few times to get all the connections  but remember, that in 2003, Jim Winsness stayed in the home of Gail Kvernmo in Hendricks MN.  Statistically, that is absolutely impossible!</div> <bR> <div> We will now have to track the lineages of the Kvernmo brothers and back to Norway to see the connection to Petra.  First indication was that they may have been brothers and sisters.  Much more to come!</div> <bR> <div> From Lorenchis Scott on 9/24/2003:</div> <div> <I>The three brothers that I know about who had farms in Hendricks were Lars Kvernmo, Ole Kvernmo, Haldo Kvernmo. Lars Kvernmo married Gurina Refseth, Ole Kvernmo married Petra Refseth and I cannot find Haldo's wife's name but I will get it from Gail or her mother Hattie. </I></div> <bR> <div> <I>Ole Fjeseth's sister, Anne, (question is whether her last name was Digrehagen) married Ole R. Refseth. They had 4 daughters. Anya (Anne?) who married Peter Knutson, Petra who married Ole Kvernmo, Gurina who married Lars Kvernmo and Ingeborg who married __ Birner. So that makes the four daughters including Petra and Gurina cousins of Ole's daughter, Petra (my grandmother) Fjeseth Nygaard. </I></div> <bR> <div> <I>Gurina and Lars Kvernmo never had any children. They were my father, Ingvald G. Nygaard's godparents. </I></div> <bR> <div> <I>Ole and Petra Kvernmo never had any children; however, they adopted Clarence when he was about 18 months old.
